Caleb did and awesome job in swimming lessons this week. Here he was finally able to reach the bottom of the pool and get the disk!
Peachie did a great job waiting for swimming lessons to be over!
Eli was upstairs in the HS auditorium practicing for the play he is in tomorrow. I plan to get pictures tomorrow of the performance. It's a play called Twinderella...a spoof on the story of Cinderella. I will share more later with his pictures.
Talk about sticker shock! This is what it cost us to fill the Durango today!

The Countdown Has Begun!
That's right we leave one week from today!
The endless list have started. I love to make list of every possible thing we may need to pack. I also made the lists of stuff to buy!
We will be in Anchorage 5 days before heading to Hawaii so we can buy a few things to compliment our shorts and t-shirts. We will have access to a laundry room at our Bungalow on Kona so we don't need a whole lot of summer clothes. Good thing as we won't really need to wear them pretty much ever again. Sunday was Fathers Day and we had a great time. We went to Mayflower Beach with some of our really good friends. At 64 degrees it was our hottest day yet enjoy the pictures!
Fluffer-nutter sandwiches are yummy!
Caleb's buddy Logan is impervious to the cold water and was actually sitting in this tide pool!

Summer Pictures
Here are a few of the things we have been doing so far this summer.
We dug a fire pit in the backyard. Because my hubby the fire fighter is so fire aware we had to keep a hose near by to put out the burning grass. Oh that's a neighbor kid with Caleb not Eli.
We have been to the beach quite a bit already this summer. Just about any sunny day we are outside. I myself have been battling the Lawn Wars. I don't even want to talk about that!
We took a walk on National Trails Day. This is one of our favorite places to walk and enjoy nature. Fort Abercrombie(and Fitch!)
So yep, we are just over two weeks into summer break and we are already busy, busy. Next week we have swimming lessons and Musical Theatre Camp.

Which Princess Are You!
Pure and trusting. You are a gentle soul who can get along with just about anyone. Everyone you meet instantly falls in love with you. How can they resist? You have a pure, lovable nature that's irresistable. Just don't trust everyone who comes across your path.
Which Disney Princess Are You?
I can't wait to take my kids to Disney World. Especially, my own little princess.

Swimsuit for Hawaii!
I just ordered my new swimsuit for Hawaii. I have never spent that much on a swimsuit. I really hope it was worth the money.
I chose this suit! I like the option of lengthening or shortening the skirt. Plus my friend Beth reminded me this suit would be great for sittitng down at a beach side restaurant without feeling under dressed as in a bikini bottom.

Little Things
My children are needy.
They make many requests through out the day.
Can we have a snack?
Can you we watch TV?
Can I have a drink?
Case in point we went to the park this evening the sun finally came out this evening. So we jumped in the car to go to the park.
Apparently the kids really worked up a thirst because on the way home Caleb asked me three times to please make him "a nice cool glass of water" when we get home.
Well, I didn't get to it right away. I don't know how I forgot! So when he asked me again at home I had to admit I was a little bit testy. Thank goodness I checked and realized an important lesson. By taking only two minutes to fulfill his simple request I was honoring him. If I can stop being busy with house and personal stuff long enough to just help him with a happy attitude and we are both blessed. Not to mention I needed some water too!
Oh, and that is a stock photo....I don't put fresh cut lemons in my kid's water!

What a pain in the........
back! I have some serious back pain going on and so I haven't been in a blogging mood lately. Thankfully I saw a new chiropractor on Wednesday. I was a little worried as I have not had good chiro experiences but this women did the trick. She used some deep pressure point massage that allowed my super tight back muscles to relax. I go to see her again tomorrow for another treatment. I am so relieved to be out of pain. I had been in constant pain for nearly two weeks!
